 Hello everyone! Today I'd like to introduce my favorite light novel and animated work. That work, of course, is Sword Art Online!


Sword Art Online is a light novel by Koji Kawahara that won the Electric Novel Grand Prize in 2008. It is a story about the adventures and love between the main characters, Kirito and the heroine Asuna, who are involved in a death game in the world of online games. The original is still being serialized, and there are various spin-offs and external stories.

Anime has been broadcast by A -1 Pictures since 2012, with 4 TV series and 2 theatrical productions to date. The animation is faithfully recreated in the original, and the characters' charm and worldview are beautifully expressed. The voice cast is also gorgeous, with stars such as Sadajo Matsuoka and Haruka Tomatsu.

I love Sword Art Online and have read and watched all of the original and anime. I especially like the relationship between Kirito and Asna. The two were hostile at first, but gradually became attracted to each other. I got married in a death game and raised my daughter in a virtual world. Their love is genuine and will not be defeated by any difficulty. My heart aches every time I see a scene between them.

Sword Art Online is set in the world of online games, but that's not all. It also deals with deep themes such as the human heart, the preciousness of life, and the bond with one's peers. Also, the action and battle are powerful. Kirito and his comrades are cool as they fight with various weapons such as swords, guns and magic. The music and visuals are wonderful, inspiring and exciting.

I recommend watching Sword Art Online in the order of the original. That is, watch the TV series from the first to the fourth period and then watch the theatrical version. That way you can better understand the flow of the story and the growth of the characters. You can also dive deeper into the world of Sword Art Online by reading the original novels and spin-offs.
